It's My Catwalk and I'll Click if I Want To

Sarah Fudge reports on a fashiontastic website ...

mycatwalk.com.au is an online boutique offering the finest fashion and accessories from some of Europe’s most famous designers including Paul & Joe, Matthew Williamson and the incredible Gharani Strok as well as a good handful of Aussie talent like Kitten, Sass and Bide and Zimmerman.
Shopping on the web from the comfort of your own home without the embarrassing fitting room debacles and snobby sales assistants has become very popular over the last few years. Many people however are concerned about clothes not fitting properly, wrong sizes being sent and most understandably, credit card details over the internet.

The website has fantastic photos, each product is accompanied with at least three photos and sizing which allows you too see the clothes from different angles and close ups for detail, also has international sizing charts. It is quick and easy to use and uses the very best in security. They use the Secure Socket Layer Web Server Certificate, which encrypt all data sent to and from the website, the information is scrambled and is unintelligible if scrambled. Therefore, you can buy to your hearts content and feel safe while doing so!

As far as returning and exchanging go, if something is not quite right you can return it (unused, unworn, price tag still on!) within 14 days and they simply deliver the new item free of charge. You can items gift-wrapped, gift certificates and your order will arrive on the doorstep the very next (working) day. Simple, quick and painless!
It is a very interactive site. If you have an enquiry about something, they are easy to contact and have online forms or a freecall number to ring.

Be warned - you can get addicted to this site and before you know it, have spent hours poring over the stunning pieces it has to offer and have to wipe the drool from your keyboard! Below I have listed my favourite new pieces from the site; these are the must haves of the season if you ask me. Elegance and fun are the two words I’d use to describe them, mixing a slight retro feel with dashes of colour will work for anyone.

- Kitten ‘Damned’ Mini dress $84.00
A fitted, thick cotton dress with an elastic waistband and 70’s style ‘spark’ print detail. Versatility makes it perfect for a night out with heels or over your bikini for the beach.

- Tsubi ‘Skinnie Minnie’ Jean $285.00
Vintage, bleached tan wash jean with ‘scuffing’ and unique stitching. Pricey but you get the Tsubi quality and unrivalled ‘coolness’ factor for your money. Can team with converse, thongs or pointy heels for a range of different looks.

- Fleur Wood ‘Marilyn’ Cami $69.00
Pretty and feminie cotton and tulle top with spaghetti straps and lace tie finishing. Look gorgeous with a denim mini, also comes in black.

- Boyd ‘Coco Lace’ Skirt $695.00
Very vintage. Lined cotton/nylon 3-tier tulle skirt. Perfect for dancing. Also available in black with white lace.

- Christian Louboutin Pink Patent Pumps $795
Pointed, closed court shoes, 85mm heel with signature Louboutin red sole. My advice is if you’re going to wear bright colour like this, only wear expensive items. Cheap colour looks tacky and few can pull it off. Also comes in aqua.

- B Young Super Baggy Cargoes $79
Quick something for the boys. These are a casual, nice alternative to jeans. Comes in beige, chocolate and black. An oiled finish jazzes them up a bit. Team with trendy sneakers and if you haven’t got skinny ankles, thongs can work too.
