Five Ways Hypnotherapy Can Help You With Weight Loss …

Did you know that by using over-hyped exercise machines or following a fad diet, people actually end up gaining even more weight? Hypnotherapist SANDRA CABOT reveals some very helpful weight loss information ...
Unless you address the emotional reasons for putting on weight, you will not make any real impact on the weight you are carrying. Here's how you can do that:
1. Choose right food choices. Clinical Hypnotherapy techniques make it easy to do so. Recent clinical studies show that techniques used in Clinical Hypnotherapy increase the amount of weight you can lose by over 100%. Most importantly ... the results have long term results. Instead of relying on super-human feats of willpower.
2. Create motivation and the desire to exercise. It's not necessary to do a lot of exercise but it is beneficial to walk more or do some exercise that you love to do, such as playing tennis or swimming etc.
3. Eliminate cravings. People gain weight because of giving in to cravings. When you gain control of cravings, the extra weight melts away over time easily without feeling you are being deprived. This eliminates the brain messages telling you to eat things that may not be good for you.
4. Eliminate the feeling of being deprived. It's not about denying yourself, it's about not wanting what's bad for you in the first place.
5. Rewire your brain with the right messages for success. Often people think they have to rely on will-power but when they have removed Sabotage programming and install programming that assists them, they find they are drawn to eating well and enjoying the exercise they choose to take part in.
When you make the changes and implement new beliefs and behaviours, healthy eating and weight loss are so easy.

Australians & the war against Weight Gain ...

JEANETTE MORGAN chronicles the Australian nation's new Gallipoli - the overwhelming fight against weight gain, obesity and its subsequent health risks ...
Levels of overweight and obesity have increased rapidly in the last twenty years.
As a 2008 Australian government document "Healthy Weight" reported, approximately 9 million Australians over the age of 18 were estimated in 2001 to be overweight or obese, (ie Body Mass Index BMI* > 25) with 3.3 million in the high-risk obese group (BMI > 30).
Not all of us are in the Magda Szubanski category where we can, thanks to our high profiles, be paid buckets of cash by a major weight loss chain to lose 36 kilos and talk about it in the media at every opportunity.
Most of us battle on alone, even though we're aware that this is a collective war, one which sadly our once fit and sun-bronzed nation appears to be losing.
Overweight and obesity are associated with a wide
range of debilitating and life threatening conditions such as cardiovascular disease, Type 2 diabetes, stroke, some cancers, osteoarthritis, kidney disease, gall bladder disease, respiratory and musculoskeletal problems.
As the Australian government report says: "Overweight is a consequence of both ‘over-eating’ and ‘under-activity’. Poor nutrition, sedentary lifestyles and obesity together are estimated to account for in excess of 10% of the burden of disease, and equal tobacco as being the most important avoidable cause of ill-health in Australia today."
A quick ask around on my Facebook account shows that there are differing views on weight loss with no-one knowing the answer, but a lot of people wanting to chip in with an opinion or statement on it.
The Lightweight Skinny Girl's View: I danced for 4 hours straight at the ACDC concert on Saturday. i'm pretty sure I've lost half my body weight.
The long-term overweight 40-something university graduate: make mention of weight loss industry is worth billions of $$ so actualy want u to fail ...
The neatly trimSingapore-based Indonesian Advertising Executive: as long as I don't snack and I don't eat after 9:30pm, I'll be in the safe zone! However, strutting in 5inch heels helps toned my legs! Not to mention, eating balanced diet and my regular runnings helps me stay fit too :)
The pot-bellied nearing-50 male academic: losing is not just the hard part.... keeping it off is.... there are usually psychological reasons involved.....
The Confused Journalist (me): i sure feel like a beginner on the subject - and so many "scientific facts" out there.
The 38-year-old Year of the Pig mother-of-three: and of course as we all are individuals what works for u may not work for me........
The 30-year-old jogging junkie: if u find a magic pill I want in!!!) ;-)
The Sydney-based Thai MLM operator (with weight loss product to sell): you have to EAT and it has been accepted in a Obesity Society's Medical Journal!!! I feel greeeeaaaaatttttt!!!
The 40-something recent Divorcee: I lost 16kg a year ago...stress first and foremost, but quite honestly I have managed to keep it off by exercising - walking the dog 4 km a day, running as much as i can of that 4kms, and food....everything in moderation, I haven't cut anything out, but have cut the quantity down. I do find tho that a higher protein, and less carb diet is easier to maintain.
The chain-smoking train driver: I lost 15kg really fast when i had my leg amputated, ive also heard meth addiction can help lose weight.
The All-Natural early-30s Woman Planning to do a Full Marathon in November Just for the Hell of it: it's all about balance and maintaining your weight once u lose it...just keep up with a bit of cardio..resistance training and healthy eatin and walla...!!!
Literary Goddess and Brazil-based Translator of Spanish Magic Realist Authors: Exercise + eating fruits and veggies. Plus I've been reading where overly acid diets (as opposed to alkaline) can make it hard for some to get rid of the fat. There was an article about it recently in Nova Magazine.
The Arty Melbourne-based SEO Queen: Breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper ... no carbs after lunch. Dinner around 7pm.

True Motivation
The weight loss industry has become one of the 200 biggest industries in the Western world.
There's a substantial market for products which promise to make weight loss easier, quicker, cheaper, more reliable, or less painful. These include books, CDs, cremes, lotions, pills, rings and earrings, body wraps, body belts and other materials, not to mention fitness centers, personal coaches, weight loss groups, and food products and supplements. US residents in 1992 spent an estimated $30 billion a year on all types of diet programs and products, including diet foods and drinks (from wikipedia).
Ultimately though, people will turn to professionals to help them meet their weight loss goals.
It's true what one of the above Facebook respondents said - a lot of it is psychological - and people who are struggling with weight gain need our help.
It's also important that we as a community support people who have a weight gain situation and do not condemn them.
Men and Weight Issues
Many men consider their image to represent everything that they are. Their image has everything to do with their self confidence and with their general appearance. Losing their weight or fat often gives them more energy and a better outlook on the environments around them. They often believe that they look greater in the eyes of women and when spending time with “the guys.”
